Azimut Yachts Presents Flagship Grande Trideck

At 38.2 meters and with a 7.98 metre beam the Azimut Grande Trideck is the new flagship of Azimut Yachts. The superyacht, which boasts a revolutionary layout, is also the first triple-deck superyacht built by Azimut, becoming the new symbol of the Italian brand’s DNA.

The Azimut Grande Trideck was designed for a contemporary owner who wanted conviviality while in constant contact with the marine environment. Azimut has delivered a yacht with great flexibility, with staggered decks to offer an unprecedented interpretation of the environments onboard, while even inventing new spaces.

The Trideck superyacht was born from the shipyard’s close collaboration with Alberto Mancini, who penned the exterior design, Achille Salvagni, who took care of the interiors, and Pierluigi Ausonio, who worked with the Azimut Benetti Research and Development Department on the naval architecture.

New spaces have been created on both the exterior decks and in the interiors, making the superyacht more congenial to the demands of contemporary owners by aligning with a less formal lifestyle onboard and providing closer contact with the sea. This has all been achieved while keeping the gross tonnage below 300 GT, with the Grande Trideck offering two possible configurations for five or six guest cabins.

Azimut has described the Grande Trideck as having “three decks + one” due to the new space offered in the extra deck at the stern, fitting among the traditional decks. The Sea View Terrace is a floating aft deck of 30 square metres that seems to remain suspended in the air, two metres above the water. Through the ‘+ One’ concept, designer Mancini has returned to work with staggered deck to give new and larger volumes while maintaining the dynamism of the lines and spaces typical of Azimut Yachts.

In addition to the Sea View Terrace, the 38m Grande Trideck offers plenty of other spaces with close contact with the sea, including a sunbathing area on the Sundeck, the main outdoor dining area on the Upper Deck, and the Beach Area. The lowest two lounges on the sea renegotiate the relationship with the water and offer over a combined 60 square metres of terraces open to the sea. The inclusion of the Sea View Terrace offers the advantage of creating the Private Patio, an additional outdoor sheltered area before entering in the salon, providing guests with maximum intimacy even when moored stern-to.

Interior designer Achille Salvagni has reimagined the use of interior spaces on this exciting new flagship, leaving behind traditional subdivisions to accommodate a more natural way of experiencing life onboard. The style is streamlined, favours the purity and cleanliness of the line and at the same time enhances the perception of an even-higher quality.

It is not just her exquisite and lifestyle-centric design that makes the Grande Trideck a standout addition to the world’s superyacht fleet, but she is also the product of extensive research and technology. Developed with the support of the R&D Department of the Azimut-Benetti Group, the yacht is based on an advanced naval platform and benefits from the second-generation D2P (Displacement to Planing) hull. This offers significantly reduced consumption, together with the use of extensive carbon fibre. The new flagship Trideck offers comparable and sometimes lower consumption figures than those of her smaller sister, the Grande 35 Metri.
